Farewell Manifestation at Banadir and Lower Shabelle Regions in Somalia

Mogadishu,(insidesomalia.org)-Mass rallies to welcome the removal of Mohamed Omar Habeb commonly known as Mohamed Dere occurred at some districts in the lower shabelle and Banadir regions in Somalia.

 

The some of the districts in Banadair region where these rallies took place include Yaqshid, Hamarweyne, Hamar Jajab, and wadajir.

 

The expressions in the faces of these people were smiles and joy.

 

Mohamed Omar Habeb was yesterday taken from the post by the Somalia premier Noor Hassan Hussein, and the two post of the Mohamed Dere the mayor and Banadir regional commissioner were temporary given to his deputy in the side of the community Mohamed Osman Ali known as (Dagahtur).

 

The rallying people were chanting slogans to support the temporary appointed man Mr. Dagahtur.

 

Yaqshid district in Banadir region is where there was mass turn up, and the district commissioner of Mr. Muhidin Hassan Jurus addressed the people in an open area and told them that he ready to fully work with the temporary appointed Banadir regional commissioner.

 

Likewise the ex-disable Somali military soldiers in Martini Military hospital showed there support for the temporary Banadir regional commissioner.

 

The spokesman for the Somali military disables Mr. Abdi Mahad Ali told the press that Dagahtur was the only man in the Banadir regional administration who was fully aware of their needs, and added that they are expecting to double his efforts towards the ex-Somali military personnel. 

 

 

Similar welcoming rallies occurred in between Mogadishu and Afgoi district in the lower shabelle region some 30KM east of the capital Mogadishu.

 

This place is where most of the residents of Mogadishu fled to after the day-to-day confrontations between the Islamists in one side and the Ethiopian troops and the Somali transitional government on the other side.

 

These people were chanting slogans to welcome the removal of Mohamed Dere from rank and supporting the new temporary appointed.
